There are service-learning opportunities available for students interested in volunteering for sustainability-related projects!
Service-learning is part of MU’s commitment to social responsibility and is required as part of a student’s academic coursework. Each year, 3,500 students at the university participate, completing about 170,000 hours of volunteer work on campus and the surrounding Columbia area.
The Environmental Leadership Office is proud to offer opportunities to fulfill your Service Learning academic requirement in sustainability-related positions, including in agriculture, energy conservation, entrepreneurship and food and gardening. During the 2011-2012 academic year, students completed 1,500 hours of service-learning through the Environmental Leadership Office.
