The Mission of the PedNet Coalition of Columbia, MO is to encourage active travel such as walking, bicycling, and rolling a wheelchair, and to promote the creation of a safe and attractive network of paths, trails and multi-modal streets that provides health, environmental, quality-of-life, and economic benefits to the community.
PedNet consists of more than 6,000 children and adults, businesses and non-profits, schools, University departments, and government agencies dedicated to creating and promoting the use of a pedestrian and pedaling network throughout Columbia. This system will provide health, quality-of-life, economic, and environmental benefits to the community.
PedNet advocates for better facilities for walking, biking, and wheeling, and offers encouragement and education programs to help people shift to non-motorized transportation. If you share PedNet’s vision for Columbia, please join our coalition.
