Become a bike mechanic
The MU Bike Resource Center is looking for knowledgeable bike mechanics to help out during the semester repairing bikes for MU students for free on campus. For more information, email Ben Datema at datemab@missouri.edu.
Misson
The MU Bike Resource Center is a project designed to help provide resources for students’ transportation needs, to make bicycles a safe, affordable and viable option for commuting both around campus and Columbia, and, additionally, to encourage personal health through exercise and reduced environmental impact through the use of non-motorized transportation. We strive to empower cyclists to bike safely and effectively around campus and around town and that starts with having a well-maintenced ride.
More than repair
This is agreat opportunity to for cyclists to learn more about how their bike works.The BRC staff encourages riders to watch the mechanic repair their bike. The staff will also talk to you about bike laws, rules, and regulations as well as safe biking on campus and downtown.
